Owton’s opens fourth outlet

Owton’s Traditional Family Butchers is set to open at a fourth location and introduce a new Cook & Serve range.

The new shop will be part of the Country Market retail outlet in Kingsley, Bordon, which has been rebuilt after a fire destroyed it in 2010. Dean Marshall from Country Market said:“It has been a difficult time for us but we are now very excited with the new store and having Owton’s as our onsite butcher”.

Owton’s opened its first shop in 1976, run by Rob and Gill Owton on the family farm in Southampton. Since 2011 they have opened two butcher’s counters at Kimbridge Farm Shop, Romsey, and Garson’s Garden Centre, Fareham.

John Harding, general manager for Owton’s, said after its opening at Country Market last month: “The customers that we spoke to were glad to see a traditional butcher and delicatessen return to the area and we know that this venture will be a great success.”

Owton’s offers delicatessan products as well as local meats and have opened a dedicated counter for its prepared meals as part of its Cook & Serve range.
