Holland’s puts on special World Cup price for pies
With the World Cup in full swing, Holland’s Pies is celebrating by pricing its pies at 66p throughout the tournament, commemorating 1966 – the year in which England was crowned world champions.
David Girdler, spokesperson for Holland’s Pies, said: “By offering Holland’s Pies at just 66p, we wanted to remind our football-loving pie fans of England’s glory days. Many will be watching the matches, here in the UK, so we wanted to give our fans a patriotic reminder with pies.”
The specially-priced pies will be available in selected retailers and food outlets across north-west England. Holland’s said it will be offering the pies “for pie lovers to enjoy whilst cheering on ‘our boys’ in Brazil”.
They will be available for 66p until 22 June, and a limited-edition 66p BIG EAT Potato & Meat football pie is also available in selected chip shops until 24 June.
