Butchers’ and Bakers’ Autumn Fair approaches

Award-winning pie makers will be hoping to continue their success at the Butchers’ and Bakers’ Autumn Fair this October.

Butchers will be able to go head to head against their bakery rivals as the fair plays host once again to the National Pie Competition. Featuring a range of categories, this competition gives traders the chance to assess their pie production skills and generate a bit of buzz around their business.

The competition is just one of the events taking place at the fair, which is held at the Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire, on 12 October. Once again, the fair will feature a first-class range of exhibitors offering the latest technologies, equipments and advice for the butchery and bakery sector, but also some of the industry’s most prestigious competitions.

Those competitions include the butchery sector’s number one sausage battle – Champion of Champions, which this year is sponsored by Bpex and Lucas Ingredients. This competition features the champion winning sausages from throughout the UK pitching head to head to decide the UK’s ultimate banger. This much sought-after title is a stand-out event in the butchery calendar and is hotly contested.
