Sainsbury’s courts takeaway consumers with new range
Sainsbury’s is urging shoppers to ditch the takeaway and visit the supermarket for a “makeaway” with the launch of a new range of products.
The retailer is urging customers to create their own meals with 60 new products to help them create quick, easy and delicious alternatives to a traditional Indian, Chinese, Thai or Italian takeaway.
The new range includes stir through, oven bake, cooking and dipping saucese along with accompaniments like naans and noodles. All consumers need to do is add meat to the products.
Georgina Lunn, Product Developer said: “Takeaways can be an expensive treat and we want to inspire our customers to try a cheaper alternative which doesn’t sacrifice taste. These new store cupboard products have been designed to help our customers recreate the UK’s most popular takeaway dishes, all of which are easy to make or assemble so the whole family can get involved in cooking a delicious yet fuss-free meal.”
