New clerk joins Worshipful Company of Butchers

The Worshipful Company of Butchers has appointed ex-Royal Marine Jeff Mason as its new clerk.

Mason, who has served in the Falkland Islands, Northern Ireland, Iraq, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan, has been appointed as the Company’s new clerk. Mason moves to the Company from his role as European commercial director at Logistics Company.

“Jeff had a long career within the UK military, having been commissioned into the Royal Marines in 1977. His early service included regimental appointments in commando and training units, as well as service with the Royal Navy and with the Army. He commanded a company in 45 Commando Royal Marines before attending the Royal Navy Staff Course.

“He then commenced a number of logistics appointments including service in the UK MoD as a logistics operations desk officer and the lead personnel and logistics planner within the Headquarters of 3 Commando Brigade and command of Commando Logistic Regiment, providing logistic, medical and equipment support to the UK’s amphibious force,” a spokesperson for the Company said.
