Debbie & Andrew’s to run ‘Tweet to Eat’ sausage kitchen
Sausage company Debbie & Andrew’s is marking British Sausage Week (3-9 November) by staging what it believes to be the first ever ‘Tweet to Eat’ sausage kitchen.
The sausage makers will be setting up the pop-up kitchen at Finsbury Avenue Square in London on Monday (3 November), and hungry Londoners will be able to grab a sausage sarnie by paying in tweets rather than cash.
Debbie & Andrew’s said: “We’re serving up scrummy sausages from 8am but leave your wallet at home! Follow us at @d_a_sausages, and tweet us why you deserve a sausage sandwich with #ideserveasausage.”
Exclusively at the pop-up shop, there will be Gluten-Free Kentish Apple and Cider Pork Sausages, as well the company’s award-winning Perfect Pork Sausages and its Perfect Cumberland Sausages.
Ian Bagnall from Debbie & Andrew’s said: “Today’s lifestyle may be fast, but we believe in making sausages the slower, old-fashioned way, using the best cuts of British pork produced on British farms. We hope our Tweet to Eat pop-up will not only create a buzz about quality British sausages, but will bring a taste of the British countryside to the heart of the city. And we can’t wait to hear what people have to say about our brand new Kentish Apple and Cider flavour, which we are trialling exclusively at the pop-up.”
