Welsh red meat body to host farm open days
Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC) – Meat Promotion Wales has announced farm open days to help boost farmers’ productivity.
The open days will discuss issues recording flock and herd performance, while veterinary surgeon Geraint Jones of Milfeddygon Deufor, near Pwllheli in north Wales, will talk about the health status of flocks and herds.
Meanwhile, farmers at both events will also be given a practical demonstration of how electronic identification recording (EID) can benefit their flocks.
“Farmers are keen to improve all aspects of their business, which is why HCC has planned these events with the intention of helping them achieve their goal,” said Luned Evans, HCC’s industry development officer.
“This is an excellent opportunity to get first-hand advice from experts and I would encourage as many farmers as possible to register their attendance,” Evans concluded.
The open days will be held in Coleg Meirion Dwyfor, Glynllifon and Llwyn y Brain farm, Adfa, Newtown on 12 and 13 of January respectively.
For more information or to book a place on the open days contact HCC on 01970 625050, email email@example.com or text their name and either ‘Glynllifon’ or Llwyn y Brain’ to 07970907229.
