Irish meat firm expands UK retail presence
Irish cooked meat company Green Farm Foods is celebrating securing three new UK listings for its range of premium carvery products.
The products will now be stocked by Ocado, Spar Northern England, and Spar Scotland. The listing with Ocado is an expansion on its current cooked meats range to include the Green Farm Range of Carved Slices.
The listing with Spar Northern England is part of a newly formed partnership with James Hall & Co and will see the chain stock eight Green Farm products. The Spar Scotland deal is a result of a partnership with CJ Lang, and shops will stock three products from 13 February.
Elaine Donohue, export sales manager for Green Farm Foods, said: “We are delighted to expand our business further in the UK by partnering with these three companies, and we look forward to growing our UK business further in 2015.
“Our products offer convenience without compromise; quality products, cooked the way you like it.”
The company, from Rathowen, Co Westmeath, reported more than 20% year-on-year growth in the Irish market, and is keen to expand its consumer availability in the UK. Green Farm Foods currently enjoys UK listings with Ocado, Budgens, Londis and Costco.
