Ex-BDCI chair to continue fundraising efforts

Former festival chairman of the The Butchers’ and Drovers’ Charitable Institution (BDCI), Norman Hatcliff, will continue to support charities associated with the meat trade.

Following a successful event held at Butchers’ Hall last year. Hatcliff announced he will hold similar fundraising events throughout the year, starting with a Fine Dining Evening with Matched Wines at Painter’s Hall on Friday 19 June 2015.

“The evening starts at 6.30pm with a drinks & canapés, followed by a fantastic and sumptuous six-course menu accompanied by an excellent selection of matched wines. Dress is black tie.

“Proceeds from the evening will be split between the Butchers’ and Drovers’ Charitable Institution and the Worshipful Company of Butchers’ nominated charities for 2015 (the Teach First and Bart’s Cancer Charity Institute) – all very worthwhile causes I’m sure you will agree,” Hatcliff reported.

The BDCI announced Ocado.com head of buying Rose Price would take over from Hatcliff as festival chairman in January this year.
