Ex-Sainsbury’s head to advise 2 Sisters
Former Sainsbury’s boss Justin King has been appointed as an advisor to 2 Sisters Food Group, the chicken processor has confirmed.
King left his role as Sainsbury’s chief executive last July, after a decade at the helm of the supermarket.
2 Sisters Food Group said in a statement: “We are pleased to confirm that Justin King has been appointed as an advisor to support 2 Sisters Food Group’s plans for the future.
“Justin knows our business well from his time at Marks & Spencer and, more recently, at Sainsbury’s, and we look forward to working with him and drawing from his considerable knowledge and expertise.”
Reuters reported King’s role to be part-time and temporary. A “non-complete” deal with his former employers rules him out of taking a role with any rival grocery chain until July 2015 at the earliest.
