Eblex creates online POS Hub for butchers
A new online point-of-sale Hub for butchers has been launched by Eblex, to “provide more useful tools and resources than ever before”.
The Eblex Hub has been created to help butchers market their businesses better, with a range online customisable resources available in one place. These POS materials include promotional kits, posters, cabinet tickets and recipe leaflets.
In the Hub, at www.eblextrade.co.uk, independent retailers can design and customise materials specifically for their shop. Eblex explained: “Registered users can select from a range of design templates that are available on the system. Following step-by-step instructions, they can then be personalised with a company logo, a marketing or promotional message, different colour themes as well as high-quality photography from Eblex’s online image library.”
Personalised posters or cabinet tickets are free of charge other than a transaction fee to cover postage and materials, and are professionally processed, laminated (in the case of tickets) and dispatched.
Previously materials were available on request, but now everything is accessible online. Seasonal posters for Christmas or Halloween, for example, are available from previous years for reuse, and anything a user creates is automatically saved, so it is available for the future.
Speaking to Meat Trades Journal at the IFE show in London, Eblex business development manager Dick Van Leeuwen said: “It’s a fantastic marketing tool and really simple to use. It’s difficult for butchers because they don’t have marketing directors, so we are trying to do this for them. They have the quality of meat and the skills, but they need to sell themselves better; these tools can make their shops look more professional.”
A selection of posters can be ordered for specific ranges, with carcase posters also available for butchers’ walls. Van Leeuwen added: “The Eblex trade marketing team is committed to helping businesses improve their operational effectiveness. Marketing is an essential part of every successful business and we’ve developed our tools to help them optimise their promotional outputs. The new point-of-sale Hub will help many retailers to promote their business in a simple, convenient and cost-effective way.”
