British sausage brand aims for international growth
Sausage brand The Black Farmer hopes to take its products to Spain following a UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) mission to the country.
The Black Farmer said it was excited by the potential of Spain’s sizeable market, which it said included an ex-pat market enthusiastic about the brand.
The company will travel to Spain in May as part of a UKTI Trade Mission.
Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, owner of the firm, commented: “The Black Farmer is well known and enjoyed by a mainstream British audience, but it was created always to be an international brand. Now that it is well established in the UK, I am keen for the brand to be made available in other markets, where consumers are looking for the quality credentials that The Black Farmer offers. I am looking forward to meeting retailers and wholesalers in Spain who can benefit from offering this popular British brand to their customers.”
Emmanuel-Jones said he was also targeting markets in Dubai, Japan and South Korea.
“The Black Farmer’s essential Britishness holds huge appeal for certain overseas markets and we are highlighting this on our dedicated export packaging, along with our gluten-free and higher-welfare British meat credentials,” he added.
