SAMW auction raises £15,000 for charity

A lot at the charity auction of the Scottish Association of Meat Wholesalers (SAMW) annual conference and dinner dance has broken event records raising £4,800.

Systems Integration (SI) donated a break in Edinburgh, featuring a stay at Trip Advisor’s No.1 Luxury Hotel in the UK, tickets to The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and afternoon tea at the Balmoral Hotel.

The lot, which is the largest amount ever raised from one auction, helped to contribute to the £15,000 overall.

SI’s managing director Rob Stephens, said: “We are delighted that our auction lot raised so much for such worthy causes. We have many loyal customers in the Scottish meat sector, so are proud to support the SAMW and its chosen charities.”
