Hunt’s Foodservice to sponsor Harbour Bites festival

Hunt’s Foodservice has announced that it will be sponsoring the very first Harbour Bites West Bay Food Weekend.

The food festival, held in Dorset’s West Bay, is due to take place on 18 and 19 July and will raise money for Dorset and Somerset’s Air Ambulance charity, as well as supporting local producers. Hunt’s supplies a range of frozen and chilled foods, including butchery items.

Managing director of Hunt’s Foodservice, Richard Hunt, explained the importance of the charity to local residents and companies alike. “Hunt’s are a Dorset-based company with operations spreading all across the south west, who like many others in the region, will rely on services such as the Air Ambulance to help us in the time of need.” He added: “I am very pleased to be sponsoring Harbour Bites and think this event is a fantastic way to raise money and promote the culinary delights of the south west.”

Caroline Richards, who has co-ordinated the festival, added: “The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance have recently saved the life of a close friend of the organisers and the fantastic service they provide is what inspired us to create an event to celebrate their work and give something back. We have been working with Hunt’s for many years and delighted that we have their support.”
