AHDB Pork appoints Mick Sloyan to strategy post

Industry stalwart Mick Sloyan, who successfully led the creation of Bpex in 1999, has accepted the post of pork strategy director at AHDB.

The role was created in the current round of reorganisation at the board. The pork strategy director’s role will be to ensure the AHDB Pork board’s business plan is faithfully implemented and the benefits promised for the new structure at AHDB are delivered in practice.

The strategy director role is similar to that of his former position as Bpex director. According to the National Pig Association, Sloyan told AHDB Pork board members he would not be applying for any other post created by the reorganisation.
