British meat to be showcased at Anuga

AHDB Beef & Lamb is due to take Quality Standard Mark (QSM) beef and lamb products to one of the world’s leading food fairs.

Taking place next month in Cologne, Germany, Anuga Food Fair will see an estimated 6,800 exhibitors from approximately 100 countries congregate to experience what the world of food and drink has to offer.

AHDB Beef & Lamb experts will be on hand to inform delegates about the UK’s QSM scheme.

“Anuga provides us with the ideal platform to highlight some of the innovative work we are doing in product development, as well as supporting our exports,” said Susana Morris, AHDB Beef & Lamb’s export manager.

“It will again help us build on our strong reputation for delivering beef and lamb products of the highest quality and versatility to the global retail and foodservice sectors.”

The levy board will present a range of premium meats, including beef loins matured on the bone, while presentations on premium retail lamb will feature.

This year, pork will also make an appearance on the AHDB stand to highlight British products for export to the rest of Europe and Asia. Exporters also have the opportunity to use the area to conduct business meetings.

In conjunction with the international food fair, AHDB Beef & Lamb, alongside AHDB Pork, will be supporting the 24th official British Meat Dinner on 12 October. The event is designed to provide guests from the food industry with the chance to taste beef, lamb and pork dishes and to network with like-minded people.
