Moy Park’s Good Kitchen range launched into Budgens stores

Moy Park’s Good Kitchen range has been launched in Budgens as part of the retailer’s meal for tonight expansion.

Good Kitchen is a range of ready-to-cook chicken dishes and is targeted at time poor shoppers.

This is the first time Budgens has stocked the range. The three varieties available at Budgens are Garlic and Herb Chicken Breasts (£4.29); Stuffed Chicken Breast Joint (£4.99); and Cheese & Bacon wrapped Chicken Breasts (£4.29).

The meals are all pre-prepared with the necessary herbs, spices and marinades and come in a foil tray. Consumers simply put them in the oven for quick and delicious meal solutions.

Charlotte Tyne, trading manager for meat, fish & poultry at Budgens said: “Demand for premium ‘meal for tonight’ solutions that are ready to cook is increasing and we want to ensure that we have a wide range of excellent quality meals for our customers. These three new chicken dishes can be put in the oven just like a quality home-cooked meal, which is exactly what Budgens consumers want. We expect them to be a great success.”

The Good Kitchen range helped Moy Park to the Product Developer of the Year award at the 2015 Meat & Poultry Processing Awards.

Budgens is an independent retail brand and forms part of the Booker Group. According to the latest Grocery Retail Structure, compiled by Convenience Store, The Grocer and IGD, there are 168 Budgens sites throughout the UK.
