Booths extends own-label sausage range
Northern food retailer Booths has launched a new look range of own-brand sausages, made in its central butchery in Lancashire.
Booths manufactures its sausages on-site from 100% outdoor bred British pork and employs a team of expert butchers to create the range.
Meat buyer David Simon said: “A lot of people don’t realise that we actually make our own sausages in Preston. We have been working on our range to improve the recipes and packaging so they look as good as the sausages taste.
“To celebrate the fantastic produce and local suppliers in our region, we’ve developed some new flavours to celebrate our local suppliers, such as Pork & Hawkshead Ale Sausage, Pork & Dewlay Lancashire Cheese Sausage, Pork & Hawkshead Caramelised Onion Relish Sausage and Pork & Apple with Pure North Cider Press Sausage. We’re very proud to make our own sausages at Booths and have also perfected regional specialities like the Cumberland, Westmorland and Lakeland varieties.”
The new sausage range is available across all Booths stores now, for £2 for five on flavoured sausages, also including Booths Yorkshire Dry Cured Bacon. The traditional pork sausages are on offer for two for £4.
