Moy Park signs deal with Martin McColl c-stores
Moy Park has secured listings for Good to Go and O’Kane breaded ranges in selected Martin McColl convenience stores in Scotland.
The brand’s Good to Go Chicken Dippers in Tomato Sauce and Caribbean Sauce varieties, Good to Go Chicken Koftas Mexican Style as well as O’Kane Breaded Garlic Kievs, Goujons and Nuggets are available now through the convenience chain.
Grant Ferrier, Moy Park director of sales, said: “We have placed a focus on developing Moy Park’s snacking and breaded product ranges to address a gap in the market, and we look forward to introducing the product range to our customers in the convenience sector. Our innovative Good to Go range is inspired by world-cuisine and offers consumers the ideal on-the-go snack, with our breaded range the perfect convenient meal solution for time poor consumers. We are delighted that shoppers will now be able to purchase the products in-store.”
The producer recently secured listings for its Good Kitchen range in Budgens which formed part of the retailer’s ‘meal for tonight’ expansion. The products included Garlic and Herb Chicken Breasts, Stuffed Chicken Breast Joint, and Cheese & Bacon wrapped Chicken Breasts (£4.29).
Charlotte Tyne, trading manager for meat, fish and poultry at Budgens, said: “Demand for premium ‘meal for tonight’ solutions that are ready to cook is increasing and we want to ensure that we have a wide range of excellent quality meals for our customers. These three new chicken dishes can be put in the oven just like a quality home-cooked meal, which is exactly what Budgens consumers want. We expect them to be a great success.”
