Debbie & Andrew’s celebrates awards success

Kent-based sausage producers Debbie & Andrew’s Perfect Cumberland Pork Sausage took the top title in the meat category at The Grocer New Products Awards. 

The sausage is made with British pork and is seasoned with pink and green peppercorns.

“Everyone at our Tunbridge Wells base is celebrating this win,” said Ian Bagnall, MD of parent company WA Turner. “It is a real reward for the team’s hard work and commitment. Debbie & Andrew’s is a close knit team that achieves a huge amount through passion and determination. It is a real bonus to be given this recognition.”

The company’s products have also been nominated for additional awards. Its wheat-, gluten- and dairy-free Caramelised Red Onion sausage as been shortlisted in the Quality Food Awards 2015. The same sausage has also been revealed to be one of 700 finalists in the specialist class at British Sausage Week’s Sausages of Distinction competition, to be revealed next month.
