Chicken restaurant seeks crowdfunding investment

H.en, the chicken shop concept, is looking to raise £100,000 by crowdfunding with Crowdcube.

The first restaurant, founded by Philip Ilic, opened in Brighton in December 2014. It offers ethical and natural dishes including grilled or fried chicken by the quarter or half, pulled chicken burgers, chicken wings, salads and a range of sauces. It also offers a delivery service via Deliveroo.
H.en is offering £100,000 for an equity share of 11.76%.
It has currently £7,540 raised and there are 28 days left for investors.
The company has already  confirmed an Angel Investment and will use the cash from both to expand the business.

Ilic said: “We aim to open our second restaurant in a high footfall location in London. The funds will also go to setting up a franchise operation.”

He said it would be looking to partner with operators to open in Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh.
