Pringles launches meat-scented candles

For meat-lovers looking for an alternative gift to fill stockings with this Christmas, crisp giant Pringle may just have the answer.

Breaking away from the mould, the company has introduced meat-scented candles to counter the traditional flavours at this time of year, such as cinnamon and pine needles.

Meat – and cheese – enthusiasts can now fill their home with their favourite aromas as Texas BBQ, Pig In Blankets and Cheesy Cheese scented candles will be available to the public.

“Sales of Pringles soar by almost 150% at Christmas time, when everyone’s enjoying parties and catch-ups with their friends and family,” said a Pringles spokesperson. “So what better way to create the perfect festive atmosphere than with the scented Pringles Candle? It’s just not Christmas without the scent – and, of course, delicious taste – of Pringles

“The Pringles Candle is a great stocking-filler: if the supermarket runs out of pigs in blankets on your Christmas dinner shop, you could simply light a Pringles Pigs In Blankets Candle on 25 December and have the same meaty odour waft through the house.”

The candles, which have been described as “particularly pungent”, will run an initial trial of 500.
