Heck sausages launched in Budgens
Heck sausages have been launched in independent retail chain Budgens.
They are available in three varieties – the ‘fair & square’ square pork sausage, ‘Chicken Italia’ chicken chipolatas and the ‘Smokey Chicken Paprika’ - and come in a pack of six (rrp £2.50).
Charlotte Tyne, trading manager for meat, fish and poultry at Budgens, said: “Heck are a really exciting company so it felt right that they should be on our shelves. They are completely dedicated to producing great-tasting sausages but they also offer a little something different too. Their chicken sausages are a great alternative for those who prefer to limit red meat; they are also packed with flavour so there is no compromise on taste.”
Andrew Keeble of Heck, which is based in North Yorkshire, said: “Heck is the number one premium sausage brand in the UK. We’re really passionate about what we do and we’re proud of our product. We are delighted to now be stocked in Budgens stores.”
Budgens is an independent retail brand and forms part of the Booker Group. According to the latest Grocery Retail Structure, compiled by Convenience Store, The Grocer and IGD, there are 168 Budgens sites throughout the UK.
