Organic meat company starts year with new innovation
Devon-based The Well Hung Meat Company has begun 2016 with the launch of a meatbox aimed at simplifying eating clean, healthy, and organic meat.
The Healthy Start Box, which went on sale on 29 December, has been designed to cater to the needs of those who want to start 2016 in a healthy way by offering a selection of lean and healthy cuts of organic meat. Each cut is accompanied by a recipe.
“Organic meat is perfect for those following a specialised diet such as paleo or autoimmune protocol (AIP), or simply wanting to eat more healthily,” said Thomas Bourne, managing director of The Well Hung Meat Company. “This is because no other system of farming has lower pesticide or antibiotic use or bands use of synthetic fertilisers.”
The recipes in the new meatbox have been developed by long-time customer and food blogger Jo Romero. They include:
• Warming lemon and ginger beef broth
• Orange-infused brisket burrito bowl with creamy guacamole
• Lamb’s liver with carrot and courgette noodles
Romero commented: “It has been great to work with the team at Well Hung to put this meatbox together. They have one of the widest ranges of organic meat available, so we were able to devise some really exciting menus that make the most of what they have to offer.”
