Chunk of Devon develops three new sausage rolls
Pasty and pie creator, Chunk of Devon, has unveiled three new varieties of sausage rolls available from this month.
The three new flavours are: pork apple and scrumpy; pork and chorizo; and a breakfast sausage roll with sundried tomatoes, egg and gammon. In addition to the new products, Chunk will be re-launching its original Chunki sausage roll.
Chunk’s products are made using quality ingredients at its factory in Ottery St Mary, Devon.
“From the off we were determined not to shortchange our customers, making sure our sausage rolls were a chunky affair, with real shoulder meat, just the right amount of sage, onion, herbs and spices all wrapped up in a cracking buttery ruff puff pastry,” said Simon Bryon-Edmond from Chunk of Devon. “We won’t stint on quality ingredients and we feel this is why we have gained an enviable reputation in the savoury snack sector.”
Bryon-Edmond claimed that the demand to make products cheaper but aesthetically appealing has resulted in manufacturers reducing the fat content and the introduction of chemicals and other undesirables.
“That’s where Chunk differs,” added Bryon-Edmond. “We guarantee that our sausage rolls stay true to their roots as a delicious, flavour-filled savoury snack encased in the most mouth-wateringly buttery puff pastry. What more could you ask for?”
Chunk sausage rolls are available through numerous retail outlets and can be ordered over telephone (01404 814 401).
