Celebrate Chinese New Year with Welsh lamb
Red meat promotion agency Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales (HCC) will be celebrating the passing of the Year of the Sheep with Welsh Lamb through its digital marketing platforms this month.
The Welsh Lamb website and blog will be loaded with remarkable recipes for celebrating in true Dragon style. Over 10,000 followers will also be able to find recipe ideas and inspiration on the Welsh Lamb Facebook page.
To celebrate the Chinese New Year (Monday 8 February), HCC has created the ideal combination to mark the event with dishes such as Welsh Lamb Kebabs with BBQ sauce; Crispy Welsh Lamb Breast with Fivespice; Slow Cooked Welsh Lamb Shoulder with Chinese spices or Chinese-style Welsh Meatballs Broth. Just serve with traditional Chinese vegetables.
Pip Gill, brand marketing executive at HCC, said: “Why not celebrate this weekend by creating a fantastic Welsh Lamb banquet? We love the different spices you can use in Chinese cooking with its sweet and sour combinations. Our recipes are incredibly tasty, easy to make and will cause a stir, or at least a stir-fry!”
