London hotel benefits from NI meat supplier
Northern Irish meat producer, Hannan Meats, has helped a London hotel find success.
HIX Mayfair, the gourmet restaurant at Brown’s Hotel, has been voted the city’s top hotel restaurant.
The restaurant’s menu features fillet steak and roast beef from Glenarm Estate in Co. Antrim, as well as gammon, which is all supplied by Hannan Meats. Roast sirloin of Glenarm Estate beef and ‘Peter Hannan’s gammon steak’ can all be found on the restaurant’s Sunday menu.
The fillet steak and roast sirloin are dry-aged in what is claimed to be the world’s biggest Himalayan salt chamber.
HIX Mayfair, which is one of several high-end restaurants owned by chef Mark Hix, beat out nine of the city’s other top restaurant’s to be named London Weekly News’ best.
“We received a vast amount of nominations from the public for the many top class restaurants and food providers in London, our aim is to ensure their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed,” said Irfan Younis, from event organisers Creative Oceanic.
“We would like to congratulate all the winners and the finalists who had tough competition this year and we hope the public and the nominees continue to support their local hard working and thriving industry.”
