Ginsters bulks up meat content in pasty slices
Ginsters has revamped its range of backed slices to incorporate even more British-sourced beef and chicken in its meaty pasty slices.
The Cornish company, which claims to be the UK’s top pasty brand, has reformulated the recipe of its Chicken & Mushroom and Peppered Steak slices.
The revamp of its best-selling slices, which sell for £1.99, will see the Pulled Pork Slice become part of Ginsters standard product range, following its successful period as a limited edition snack. Ginsters has also tinkered with the recipe of its Spicy Chicken slice, moving to incorporate more chicken tikka flavours.
All of the new slices will include a sticker to promote the fact all of the meat is entirely British.
“Ginsters is extremely proud of its heritage and the quality of its products. With this in mind, we have revamped our best-selling slices to include even more meat – providing our consumers with a tastier snack which still boasts the same flavour combinations they have grown to love,” said Mike Smith, head of brand at Ginsters.
“In recent research with our consumers, we were told us how much they love the new slices, made with the best of British ingredients. In addition, for retailers, the “Even Tastier” flash on-pack will really stand out on shelves and help drive footfall to the savoury pastry shelves.”
Ginsters signature product, the Original Cornish Pasty, will include a sticker reading “The Nation’s Favourite” on its pack from 9 May, following a consumer survey which confirmed the pasty’s popularity.
