Asda recalls salad due to salmonella presence
Supermarket chain Asda has recalled its Chicken & Sweetcorn Pasta Salad because of the presence of salmonella. The product has a use-by date of 23 April 2016.
Product notices have been displayed in all of the stores that sell the salad, explaining to consumers the reason for the recall and what they should do if they have purchased it.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) advised consumers who have already bought the chicken salad not to eat it, but instead take it to their nearest Asda store where they will be issued with a full refund.
