Entries are now being accepted for this year’s SuperMeat & Fish Christmas Products Awards.
Now in its second year, the awards attract the best Christmas products on the market and are judged by our expert panel. Open to anyone who supplies a festive meat or fish product to a supermarket, deadline for entries is Friday 24 June. Last year, Morrisons picked up four awards, more than any other retailer. It won the Charcuterie, Ready-Cooked Ham, Celebration Pie and was joint winner of the Pork Product categories.
Tesco, Aldi and Asda each picked up three awards, while Iceland won two and The Co-operative won one.
Meat Trades Journal deputy editor Aidan Fortune explained the importance of entering. “The judging for last year’s SuperMeat & Fish Christmas Products Awards was tough and we expect this year to be the same. The competition to have the best festive products is fierce but the kudos of winning an award can be great for a business as it’s a fantastic signpost for customers.”
