Hillís Pet Nutrition cat food pouches recalled due to high levels of iron

Hillís Pet Nutrition is withdrawing certain packs of cat food pouches due to high levels of iron. According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the error was made by the ingredient supplier.†

Whereas iron is an essential part of a catís diet, too much may cause digestive upset, said a statement from the FSA. ďIf fed as the sole source of nutrition, this may have a more serious health effect, including diarrhoea and vomiting.Ē
