Oakpark Foods plans to expand bacon range in Morrisons
Oakpark Foods, based in Co Tipperary in the Republic of Ireland, is hoping to expand its line of bacon products to over 500 Morrisons stores within the next three months.
As of June 20, the company will be supplying three of its Oakpark 50% less medallions (both smoked and unsmoked varieties), as well as Oakpark American-style streaky bacon.
“Launching the Oakpark brand in Morrisons’ stores is a massive boost towards our target of becoming the number one seller of bacon medallions in the UK,” said David Brett, general manager of Oakpark.
Both the smoked and unsmoked medallions, which are new to the UK market, are sold in 170g packs of six slices retailing at £2 each or any two for £3.
The American-style streaky bacon is sold in a 16-slice, 170g pack, also retailing at £2 each or any two for £3. Both are ongoing promotions.
