Whole Foods Market recalls chicken salad products
A number of chicken salad products have been recalled by Whole Foods Market as they may contain undercooked chicken.
The listed products are Yummy Mum’s Chicken Salad Sandwiches on Granary, Mum’s Chicken Salad (Deli Pot), Chicken Salad (sandwich on Turkish flatbread) and Picnic Mezze Set.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued a statement warning that undercooked chicken is a potential risk to health as the cooking process may not have removed potential contamination which can be present in raw chicken.
The statement read: “Whole Foods Market is recalling the affected products and point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores where the products are sold. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what actions to take if they have bought the products.”
