EHL Ingredients expands team as it targets £7m sales target

Natalie Daley has been appointed technical manager at ingredients supplier EHL Ingredients.

With a BSc in food and nutrition from Manchester Metropolitan University, Daley will bring with her three years’ of industry experience.

“Natalie is joining us at an exciting time for the company,” commented Tanseem Backhouse, joint managing director for EHL.

“Her valuable technical expertise and knowledge of policies and standards will support the company as a whole to ensure we continue to deliver high quality products, as we plan to increase our supplier base, and extend our product portfolio and range of international herb and spice blends.”

Daley’s employment is part of an on-going business growth plan, which aims to produce £7m in sales by the end of the year, as well as bringing the total staff count to 30 at its head office in Stockport.

“As we enter our twentieth year of business, we have set our sights on achieving sales of £7m – our highest target to date,” added Backhouse. “We are confident about our progress as a business and are proud of our achievements to date in this highly competitive market place.”

It will be Daley’s responsibility to oversee quality and food safety procedures and to ensure that all food standards policies are met. It will also be her duty to create, amend and adapt product specifications of both existing ingredients and new herb and spice blends, and to oversee quality systems to ensure they meet regulatory standards.

In addition to this new appointment, promotions within the company have also been announced. Susan Brown will now be working as EHL’s customer service manager, while Sherill Simm has been promoted to account manager. Meanwhile, Andrew Pickering will now act as technical administrator with Amanda Garnett appointed as purchasing assistant.
