BDCI tees off for charity golf day
The Butchers’ and Drovers’ Charitable Institution (BDCI) is calling on golfers in the meat industry to help to raise funds by signing up to participate in this year’s Golf Day.
Taking place on Wednesday 14 September at Surrey Downs Golf Club in Kingswood, Surrey, the event will include 18 holes of golf followed by a three-course meal and prize-giving ceremony. Prizes will be given for ‘Nearest the Pin’, ‘Longest Drive’, ‘Best Score of the Day’ and ‘Best Team’. There will also be a ‘Beat The Professional’ competition.
The BDCI thanked the Cheale family for hosting them. The tournament will be played under Stapleford rules, the maximum handicap this year will be 24 in four balls.
Playing registration begins at 8.00am, with tee-off at 9.00am. Eighteen holes of golf will be followed by a three-course meal and prize-giving ceremony. The Golf Day is priced at £100 per person, or £350 for a team of four. Companies are also invited to sponsor a hole for £250.
Places for the Golf Day can be reserved by completing the online booking form on the BDCI website www.bdci.org.uk, or by contacting Alan Bird on 0207 236 1552 or email@example.com.
Anyone wishing to sponsor a hole or donate a prize or auction item should also contact Alan Bird.
