Clayton Park Bakery recalls sausage roll products

A recall notice has been issued by Clayton Park Bakery for some of its sausage roll products as they may contain plastic, making them unsafe to eat.

The products listed below may contain plastic:

Best before: 3 August 2016, 4 August 2016

Product: 2 Pack Sausage Roll
Brand: Clayton Park
Pack size: 236g
Best before: 3 August 2016, 4 August 2016

Product: 3 Pack Sausage Roll
Brand: Clayton Park
Pack size: 354g
Best before: 3 August 2016, 4 August 2016

Product: 16 Pack Mini Sausage Rolls
Brand: Spar
Pack size: 472g
Best before: 3 August 2016, 4 August 2016

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has advised customers who have purchased the products not to eat them, but instead return them to the store where they were bought for a full refund. If anybody has any concerns, they should contact Clayton Park Bakery on 01524 393200.

James Hall and Co Ltd, the company which owns Clayton Park Bakery, has issued a recall notice to the relevant bakery stores, as well as to relevant Spar stores in north England and north Wales because they also sold the products, said the FSA.

In addition, EH Booth & Co Ltd has issued the same in-store recall notice because its stores also sold the products.

No other Clayton Park Bakery products are known to be affected.
