MTJ searches for Champion of Champions
Entries are now open for the nation’s biggest sausage competition.
Hosted by Meat Trades Journal, Champion of Champions is open to anyone who has won a recognised sausage competition between 1 July 2015 and 30 June 2016.
Rod Addy, the editor of Meat Trades Journal, said: “If you’ve recently won a recognised sausage competition then you don’t want to miss out on this year’s Champion of Champions competition. The awards always see the best sausage makers in the nation come together and 2016 won’t be any different. Standards will be high, and only one sausage can be named Champion of Champions 2016.”
Last year’s winner was Chris Potter form Tim Potter Son & Daughter in Wellington, Somerset, who won with a pork, turkey and cranberry Christmas sausage.
The deadline for entries is Monday, 19 September with the awards ceremony taking place on Monday, 10 October at St Bart’s Brewery, 66 West Smithfield, London EC1.
