Meat-based baby meals for the UK market
Mediterranean-themed baby food range Piccolo is set to unveil its new stage two products.
Piccolo will launch four new recipes this October, designed to help babies in the weaning stage of development to experience new flavours.
Using organic meat as a staple ingredient, the products in the new roll-out include Spring Vegetables & Chicken with Rice and Tarragon and Sweet Potato & Beef Ragu with a hint of Thyme.
Having only launched in April of this year, the brand has reported supportive consumer feedback. “It has certainly been a busy time at Casa Piccolo, perfecting our new recipes,” said Piccolo founder Cat Gazzoli.
“Indeed, it has been a bit of an adventure visiting our producers and farms to get just the right ingredients, but my family in France and Italy have been great helping the team and me find just what we wished for. The reaction we have had so far has been phenomenal, but we knew the high demand for stage two blends had to be met.
“Like every Piccolo pouch, our new flavours have been thoughtfully prepared by our team of experts,” she continued. “Led by our in-house infant nutritional therapist, the NPD team had a clear focus on great taste and unrivalled quality. We can’t wait to hear what the most important testers will think.”
The products are available next month in Waitrose and Asda.
