Topping Pies launches new gourmet range

The Topping Pie Company has launched gourmet and speciality fresh and baked frozen pie ranges and unbaked frozen products at the Farm Shop and Deli Show, organised by Meat Trades Journal publisher William Reed.

The new line of gourmet pies offers customers fresh, or baked and frozen, six variants of 200g hot eating pies, including beef & shallots, beef and golden ale, steak pie, and chicken pancetta, white wine & cream. Yorkshire familty-run Topping Pies is targeting caterers looking for high quality, premium pies complete with a homemade look and feel for this product range.

“We are delighted to launch our new range of baked frozen and unbaked frozen products which offer retailers the very best premium freshly baked taste without the worry of shelf life,” said Matthew Topping, sales director at the Topping Pie Company. “These products also enable customers to control stock levels, without compromising on quality.”

The firm has also introduced a range of baked frozen speciality pork pies available as 120g products or large 2.2kg cutting pies, alongside a range of handcrafted quiches. As well as baked pies, the business has launched unbaked frozen pork and savoury pies, designed to be baked in store targeting the independent retail sector. These include an award-winning 450g speciality pork pie, small game & poultry pie, scrumpy pork pie, huntsman pork pie, plus 290g hot eating pies: steak and stilton, steak and black pudding, and Yorkshire beef.

The Topping Pie Company has evolved over the years from a small family butchers founded in 1961 to an award-winning speciality pie business. It supplies a wide range of handcrafted products to retail, independent, wholesale and export markets.
