Q Guild BBQ Supreme Champion crowned

H Clewlow Butchers from Nantwich in Cheshire has been crowned Supreme Champion at the annual Q Guild BBQ competition. 

Its Nutty Lamb Noisettes, which also won the Speciality BBQ Product award, comprise a boneless loin of lamb, stuffed with pine nuts and minced lamb with a Greek-style marinade.

The Nutty Lamb Noisettes were described by the judging panel as “the best product of the day” and they were particularly impressed by the way the butcher had used a variety of cuts with everything on there for a reason, from the trimmings that imparted additional flavour to the fat that was left on to hold it all in place.

Owner Charles Clewlow said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to win both categories. In fact, it is the second time in three years that we have taken the overall supreme champion crown, so we must be doing something right - our customers certainly think so as our Nutty Lamb Noisettes are very popular.”
