Funnybones adds spice to foodservice with Tex-Mex bites

Funnybones Foodservice has produced a new range of bite-sized pork products for foodservice operators. 

Inspired by Tex-Mex flavours, the new meat-based dishes have been designed to complement a range of Mexican products already available from the company.
The foodservice operator has launched Spicy Albondigas (Mexican spiced meatballs, pictured), which can be served in a wrap, sub or sandwich, or used as a starter or snack with a dip. The meatballs are available in packs of 50 individually frozen pieces and are made in the UK from minced pork, spiced with chilli and herbs. The products arrive to customers cooked and can be oven baked, or microwaved from frozen.

In addition, Funnybones has introduced Antojito pork belly bites. Deriving from the Spanish word for ‘small bite’ the antojitos are made using cubes of pork belly slow-cooked in an ancho chilli barbecue sauce, designed to be served on a cocktail stick and dipped in chilli sauce.

The pork belly bites are available in 500g packs of approximately 20 pieces and can be cooked from frozen in a variety of ways.

Funnybones Foodservice offers a range of foods inspired by flavours from the North-Central American border, including Pulled Beef in Barbecue Glaze, Pulled Chipotle Chicken and Southern Fried Breaded Chicken Breasts.
