Big Daddy Rump Steak back at Aldi

Aldi has reintroduced its ‘Big Daddy’ extra thick British rump steak for a limited time, following the success of its previous launch.

The discounter claimed the 21-day matured steak, available for £4.99, is 100g bigger than Tesco’s Finest Rump Steak, its closest rival. This time around, it’s 42% cheaper per kg, whereas it was 39% in June. The steak weighs in at 454g.

“After the sell-out success of Aldi’s ‘Big Daddy’ steak for Father’s Day, we just had to bring it back, and the August Bank Holiday seemed like the perfect opportunity for this,” said Tony Baines, joint managing director of corporate buying at Aldi UK.

“Not just for dads, this premium British rump steak is an example of Aldi’s commitment to offering a quality, locally-sourced product at amazing low prices, once again allowing customers to make substantial savings on luxury products without compromise.”

The 100% British steak is available for a limited time only from Thursday, 24 August. Once the Specialbuys are gone, it won’t be coming back.

Aldi’s everyday fresh meat is AHDB Beef & Lamb Quality Standard Mark assured, as well as 100% Red Tractor Assured.
