Sausage sales boost for Nisa Heritage range

Nisa’s own-label Heritage range has racked up its highest week of sausage sales.

Almost £20,000 worth of Heritage Gourmet sausage sales were made to independent Nisa retailers in the first week of August.

Tracey Redfearn, brand manager for Heritage at Nisa, said: “Sausages are about more than just barbecues. They make an excellent choice for breakfast and our Heritage Gourmet range especially offers a fantastic choice for the weekend breakfast occasion.

“Members can really exploit this in-store and encourage sales, particularly considering the competitive pricing of just £3 per pack or Buy Two for £5.”

The range, which was extended just before the summer, includes six varieties to cover all eating occasions. The three new additions are pork & apple, pork & onion and pork chipolatas along with the improved old favourite pork, the Cumberland and the Lincolnshire sausages.

Redfearn added that there are more opportunities for retails as autumn approaches. “Sausages are so versatile; they can be used in such a wide range of family meals and the Gourmet range is perfect for a whole host of family favourites – sausage casserole, bangers and mash and toad in the hole to name a few.”

If your sausage sales are on the rise, it might be worth celebrating during The Big Sausage Week (31 October-6 November). To follow all of The Big Sausage Week news, check out The Big Sausage Week on www.facebook.com/TheBigSausageWeek/ and Twitter at @BigSausageWeek.
