Rectory Foods makes deal with Acura

Poultry supplier Rectory Foods has announced it has entered into a strategic partnership with Acura Foods, which will extend Rectory’s fresh and frozen pork and beef range.

Acura Foods MD David Eaton will now manage the new red meat division, under Rectory Foods and the deal means that Rectory Foods will now offer pork and beef products to its customers in the foodservice, wholesale, food manufacturing and retail sectors, in addition to poultry and food ingredients.

Charles Woolley, Rectory Foods founder and director, said: “The partnership allows us to extend our product portfolio and the natural addition is red meat. Acura Food’s knowledge and expertise will be a valuable asset to us, and this, coupled with our own experience and networks will strengthen our position in the food industry and build on our reputation as a reliable and efficient provider of quality meat products and food ingredients.

“We are planning further growth and expansion in 2010 and beyond, as we take on more staff and increase our customer base, and this development is a great platform for us to build on.”

The partnership will be officially launched in April at the Food and Hotel Asia exhibition in Singapore, where Rectory Foods will be participating as part of the Eblex commission. Following this, the red meat division will focus on boosting sales in the UK, Far East and African markets.
