Sainsbury's rolls out butcher range

Sainsbury’s has rolled out its in-house butchery range to more stores following a successful introduction last year.

The ‘Cut & Pack’ range, which features more than 20 products prepared and packed by each supermarket’s in-house butchers, is now available in 140 stores across the UK.

Andrew McTeare, category buyer for meat and fish counters, said: “Customers tell us they love to shop at our counters as they like the freshness and quality cues, so this new range will make it even easier.

“We have an unrivalled heritage of offering fresh food dating back over 141 years and our counters are an integral part of this. We are differentiating the offer from our regular pre-pack range on a number of species/products through maturation, regional British sourcing or sometimes pack size and piece count.”
