Lenny Henry to compere at BCDI dinner

Diners are set for a laugh at this year’s Butchers’ and Drovers’ Charitable Institution (BDCI) Annual Festival Dinner, after organisers confirmed that comedian and actor Lenny Henry would be compering the evening and performing with his band Poor White Trash and the Little Big Horns.

Guests can expect “a mix of of old favourites and self-penned tunes” from Henry’s band that has featured on both Comic and Sport Relief.

This year’s festival chairman, James Sydenham, said: “I am delighted that Lenny Henry will be taking centre stage at this year’s Annual Festival Dinner. He is a first-class entertainer and I am sure he will make this year’s dinner a night to remember.”

The BDCI’s annual fundraiser is taking place this year at the The Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Friday 28 September.
