British beef goes French

British Quality Standard beef has been given the seal of approval from a top French chef.

Paul Bocuse holds the record of 47 years for a restaurant with three Michelin stars and the chef has started serving Herdshire Beef Select ribs at his brasserie L’Quest in Lyon.

The range of beef Bocuse serves has been specifically designed for use in restaurants and carries the Eblex Quality Standard Mark (QSM).

Eblex export manager for France Rémi Fourrier said: “Paul Bocuse is a strong supporter of top quality French products, but also appreciates foreign quality products. Serving Quality Standard Beef at his new brasserie in Lyon highlights the quality of our produce and this recognition from such a world renowned chef is invaluable.”

Laura Bishop, Eblex marketing manager for Quality Schemes said: “This endorsement underlines the aims of the QSM scheme – to ensure the highest production standards are upheld in providing quality produce.”
