British beef goes Italian

British Quality Standard beef has been recognised by Italian consumers as a quality product.

Those who attended an Eblex Beef Day at the Palazzo Cusani, which is in the heart of Milan, heard Eblex’s positive consumer research about Quality Standard British beef.

In total, 60 guests attended the event, which held discussions on labelling, marketing and the importance of beef in human nutrition. The day then concluded with various beef tasting dishes, prepared by the famous Milanese chef Andrea Berton.

Eblex export manager Jean-Pierre Garnier said: “We have positioned Quality Standard Mark beef strongly as a premium offer in the Italian market, particularly for foodservice. This event underlined our commitment to promoting ‘matured beef’.
“The results of the research were also particularly encouraging, highlighting ongoing confidence among Italian consumers in our product’s eating and nutritional quality, as well as its sustainable production.”
