Deadline close for Welsh red meat scholarship

The opportunity to assess livestock production by travelling across the globe is coming to an end.
Welsh meat bosses are offering a scholarship to study the best farming practices around the world, and the deadline for applications is fast approaching on 7 June.
The Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC) Livestock Scholarship has been running since 2004 and offers grants of up to £3,500 for people in the Welsh red meat industry to travel abroad and study production techniques and bring that knowledge back to benefit their home industry.
Past scholars have travelled to all corners of the world, including South America, New Zealand, the USA and Norway, examining a range of different topics including carcase grading, pork production and wormer resistance.
More details about the HCC Livestock Scholarship and how to apply for this year’s funding can be found on the HCC website – http://hccmpw.org.uk/farming/scholarships/
