ABP wins Business Referral Award

ABP Food Group has scooped the Business Referral Award at the Bord Bía Food and Drink bi-annual award ceremony.

The company was given the award, presented by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Simon Coveney TD, due to its efforts in referring work to Irish Country Meats.

Sales and marketing manager for ABP Ireland Eoin Ryan said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised for our work with Irish Country Meats. We are continually trying to support the Irish meat industry and this award shows our willingness to help other companies in the industry where we are able to.

“Ireland’s food and agricultural sector is a major player in the Irish economy, and these awards are fantastic way of celebrating all that is being achieved in the sector.”

There were seven categories in the Bord Bía awards, which took place at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham: exporting, branding, entrepreneurial, success and home, sustainability, consumer insight and innovation.
